Joint City Council/City Advisory Commission Meeting

CALL TO ORDER
Mayor Keel called the meeting to order at 6:30 p.m.
Attendance was noted as follows: Mayor Keel, Mayor Pro Tem Belleci, Councilmember McCluskey, Councilmember Nye, and Councilmember Worthington.
Staff Present: City Manager Sugg, City Attorney Kaser, Executive Director/ACM Craig, Police Chief Blair, Development Services Director Swindale, Public Safety Manager Hales, City Clerk Genetia, and Deputy City Clerk Nicholas.
Commissioners: Economic Development Advisory Commission: Ron Kent, Joshua Koontz, Jason Light, Peggy Rose-Webster; Park Advisory Commission: Julie Finnegan, Greg Gooch, Stacey McClain, Steve Thorndill; Planning Commission: Ken Campbell, David Graybill, Tanya Mushallo, Anthony Paulson, Stephen Smith.
ADVISORY COMMISSION ORDINANCE REVIEW AND DISCUSSION
Mayor Keel introduced new commissioners and thanked all of the commissioners for attending. He gave an overview of the 2017 advisory commission rules and processes as a reminder of scope of duties and to draw attention to changes in procedures for advising Council on legislative policy issues. Questions and answers followed.
REVIEW OF COUNCIL’S 2019-2020 GOALS AND OUTCOMES
After the dinner break, City Manager Sugg shared Council’s top three 2019-2020 priorities for commissioners’ use in anticipating work assignments or proposing related legislative policy to support Council in achieving those outcomes.
CLOSING REMARKS
Mayor Keel introduced Commission Chairs and Council Members for their closing remarks.
ADJOURNMENT
The meeting adjourned at 8:30 p.m. No other action was taken.
